Update! It has been forever.

It has definitely been to long time since we have posted anything, life has been really busy and not much time is available to "blog." A lot of focus has been on getting Carson to a point in which he is able to eat more by mouth, and get him gaining weight. Last February, much to our relief, his feeding tube was moved from his nose to his stomach, creating a more permanent solution. Doing this required a weekend stay at the hospital. He recovered well from that and has turned into quite the active little guy. It seems that he started crawling and before we knew it he was up and running. It is a lot of fun trying to keep up with him. He has recently discovered the outside of the house and anytime Melina is outside he wants to join her.

Melina has enjoyed preschool and starts pre-kindergarten next week. She will be going 4 days a week for about a month or so. She has come a long way since a year ago, and preschool has definitely been helpful. It is hard to believe that she starts kindergarten in just a few months. She spends a lot of time outside playing in the backyard and swinging on her swing-set. It is very difficult to get her to come inside to eat and get ready for bed. I have a feeling it will only get worse the farther we get into the summer.

Alicia still works from home, runs to doctors appointments, and visits the park frequently. Russ is still pushing his way through school and with only a year of classes left has found it to be a fight to continue to stay focused. Recently, he was informed that his work will be giving him more experience in performing some accounting work for the company's controller, he is quite excited.

We have done a couple of things in the yard to make it more comfortable in the yard in the last couple months. Russ spent two days putting grass down under the swing-set. (He got sick of the weeds and bark mulch mess underneath.) Timing was perfect, the grass went down and all of the the raining weather hit. Next up will be a new concrete patio in the back yard.
