Update

I figured it was time for an update to let you'll know what we've been up to. Well, Melina and I have been sick with a nasty cold the last couple of weeks. We are both just about over it, yay! Although, I now have an infection in my eye. I'm not sure if it is the same infection that Melina had or if the cold virus somehow got in my eye. Luckily, it is getting better. I'm looking forward to being healthy and ailment free. In the midst of that, I had a birthday. I turned 27...ack! I'm getting closer to 30. Man, I'm getting old:)

Russ continues to stay busy with work, school, yard work, church calling, etc. He is getting really close to finishing up his Bachelor's degree. Only 3 1/2 more classes to go! Then he'll have a little break and then back to school for his MBA. I'm proud of you babe! Keep up the good work!

We went to a barbecue the end of May at Russ' sister's house. Here are a couple of pics of Melina trying to hold a little dog. It was so cute!



Russ had this last week off of work and he embarked on the project of putting in flower beds. He put in some edging and raised them up a bit with top soil and mulch. He also planted some rose bushes along our property line in the front yard. We wanted to separate our yard from our neighbors (especially since their yard is full of weeds) and this option was a lot cheaper than a fence. We haven't planted anything else yet. It is a work in progress.

We also took Roxy to the dog groomer to get shaved for the summer. He he, she looks like a completely different dog.

I decided to put up Melina's hair yesterday and it looked so cute I had to get some pictures. It's not perfect because Melina wouldn't hold still...what else would you expect with a 2 year old? I made sure to get pictures right after it was done, because by the end of the day, it was completely messed up. The little stinker wouldn't look at the camera, but here are a few pics anyway.


Four generations: Here is a pic of my grandma, mom, me and Melina. We are all the babies of the family. Sorry, I don't look so hot. I got some sun this past week and I'm not wearing makeup because of my eye infection.
