Potty Training...

...is so much fun! NOT! We tried potty training Melina a while ago and it didn't go so well. She just didn't quite get it. Actually, to be honest, I didn't really try that hard, I just got lazy:) I decided to try again starting yesterday and it seems to be going a little better so far. I tried putting Melina in underwear for a couple of hours yesterday before her nap and she only had 1 accident. She wanted to just stay in the diaper after her nap though. Today she seemed as though she didn't want to use the potty at all and I thought that maybe she still isn't ready. But then she said she wanted to wear the underwear and so we tried again. She did really good. She kept telling me she needed to "go potty" every couple of minutes and each time I would take her up and sit her on the potty and then she would say she was done after a couple of seconds. It got old really fast. Up, down, up, down....I wish we had a bathroom on the main floor! But then finally....success. Yes! She actually peed in the potty! She did end up having 1 accident, but it was on the way up to use the potty. She is actually getting it! Woohoo! Although, she wanted to stay in a diaper again after her nap, but I think she is just being lazy. I don't want to push too hard, so we'll keep trying and hopefully she will be potty trained soon. Man, I wish I could just snap my fingers and it would be done, but alas....it is just another thing that we have to work towards.
